Those who have never seen them before can easily imagine this view. Since flamingos have a unique view, it is almost impossible to confuse them with other bird species.
Pink flamingos are a part of American culture and history. Quite an attractive image of this elegant pink bird species become one of the American icons. Today, the number of plastic flamingos is much more than the real ones. The plastic pink flamingo was invented by Don Featherstone in 1957. Using plastic pink flamingos as garden ornaments is a way to make your garden look more beautiful and elegant.
In this project, we have published 3D printable animal template files you can craft 2 different flamingos. There is 20 3D part drawing in the template. You can craft layered 3D bird figures when you adhere these parts to each other.
You can prefer 3mm thick wood, MDF, plywood, acrylic, and cardboards to craft the 2D parts. This template was designed for CNC-based laser cutters. However, you can also craft your DIY project by preferring cardboard.
It may be a good idea to pick colored plywood material for this material. Thus, your 3D flamingo figures can have a more decorative look. If you are going to prefer wood or MDF material, you can consider painting them to color the parts of the figure. If you are planning to use these figures as decoration elements, you need to varnish them to protect them from the harmful effects of sun and rain. It can be a good idea to prefer cardboard that is designed for outdoor use.
You can also gift these cute animal figures to children. They will be quite happy while playing with their toys. Make sure that the paint of the wooden toy, which you will gift to children, does not include any harmful substances. If you are going to paint these laser-cut objects on your own, it will be better for you to prefer water-based dyes for the health of children.
