Free laser cut cool cactus phone holder template, wooden DIY phone stand design for download as SVG, DXF, CDR, PDF.

This is a free cactus phone stand laser cut template designed to be built from two flat parts: a cactus-shaped back panel and a slotted base. The files are prepared for 3 mm, 3.175 mm (1/8 inch), and 4 mm sheet materials, so the design suits wood sheet, plywood, MDF, or acrylic. The two parts slide together into a small 3D phone holder that holds the phone in a tilted position on a desk.

The idea behind the project was to move past the usual plain, purely functional phone stand. A phone holder is a desk object you look at every day, so the form can carry some visual character while still doing a practical job. We chose the tall cactus form because it keeps the function of holding a phone while bringing a small natural shape into a modern desk or workspace. Assembled, it works as a phone stand; set aside without a phone, it still reads as a decorative cactus piece.

Cactus Phone Holder Design for Laser Cutting

The build is two parts. The cactus back panel carries all the visual detail, and a separate base slots onto it to form the stand. On the front of the base, two raised ledges catch the bottom edge of the phone, while the phone itself leans back against the body of the cactus. That is why the design needs no extra back support: the cactus silhouette is the lean surface.

All the detail in the panel is cut through rather than engraved, so the shape carries itself even in plain unfinished plywood. The tall central cactus with its two side arms, the rib lines down the trunk, the small spines along the edges, and the clumps of desert grass spreading across the planter base are all open cuts. The open cuts keep the cactus detail visible even when the stand is cut from a plain sheet.

The two pieces slide together without glue and can be separated again for flat storage. The assembled stand stands about 16 cm tall and roughly 9.8 cm wide at the cactus arms, with a base footprint near 8.2 cm deep.

3 mm, 1/8 Inch and 4 mm Phone Stand Files

The vector and CAD files carry three separate thickness layers: 3 mm, 3.175 mm (1/8 inch), and 4 mm. Cut the layer that matches your actual sheet; the base slot is drawn for that selected thickness. Choosing the right layer before cutting keeps the slot fit closer to the intended joint.
