This is the free DXF download for the set of 4 black and white elephant designs, drawn for laser, CNC router, and plasma work. The four are distinct animals with distinct moods: a side-profile bull standing in heavy, calm stillness; a front-facing head with the ears spread wide and the tusks framing the trunk; a sharp-tusked front face with an angry, head-on stare; and a full body mid-stride, walking toward you.
Every design carries an offset outline around it, and that one addition is what makes the set flexible. You can engrave any of the four straight onto a surface, burning it into a plaque, a board, or a panel as finished line art. Or you can cut along the offset outline and engrave the interior, lifting the elephant off the bed as a single wood or acrylic piece ready to hang. The angry front-facing head is the one drawn with no islands that separate from the body, so it comes off the bed as one clean piece; the other three have interior areas that would drop free if cut through, so for a cut piece they rely on the offset outline holding everything together while the detail is engraved rather than pierced.

We put the outer cut line and the engrave area on separate layers because that is what lets a laser program assign a cut pass and an engrave pass without you sorting geometry by hand. The curves are true splines rather than short segments, so the long lines of a trunk or a spread ear stay smooth on both the cut and the burn. Of the four, the angry front face and the close head study carry the densest detail, so give those more size or a finer engrave pass; the side profile and the walking body have more room and read well across sizes. Cut from plywood, MDF, or acrylic for interior wall art, or run the outline on a plasma table for metal pieces.
