Make a flat wolf wall art piece with the free STL, or develop a wolf display plaque in CAD with the STP file. Both models carry the snarling full-body wolf, rocky ground, and forest details into a thin 3D form with openings through the fur, face, and stone.
I like the contrast between the model’s restrained depth and the force of its front view. The pointed coat and exposed teeth give the wolf its presence, while the side profile stays slim. Seen from the front, the full scene retains the character of the drawing; viewed from an angle, its thickness gives the outline a physical edge.
Use the STL for a 3D printed wolf decoration mounted within a shadow box or arranged as a flat wall display. Choose a backing color that contrasts with the printed piece, so the openings reveal the face, fur, and rocky setting clearly. A dark wolf against a pale backing gives the scene a bold silhouette, while a light print against a dark backing offers another color treatment.
The STL supplies one connected, watertight triangle mesh for opening in a slicer. Its broad, flat face gives you a clear starting orientation on the build plate. At your chosen print size, review the small teeth and narrow fur details in the sliced preview to see how your printing setup will reproduce them.
The STP file is the STEP CAD version, supplied as one AP214 solid. Use it to measure the model, develop a different thickness, or combine the wolf with a backing panel in a CAD project. For a personal display plaque, position the scene on the front of a backing solid and combine the bodies to create a raised wolf motif. You can choose the backing dimensions and adjust how far the wolf projects from its surface within your own model.
Download the Free Wolf STL and STEP Models
The page provides two separate model files. Choose the STL for slicer work or the STP for solid-model CAD work.
- STL: one connected, watertight mesh with 45,440 triangles
- STL size when imported in millimetres: approximately 160 × 157.18 × 2 mm
- STP: one STEP AP214 CAD solid
- STP size: approximately 160 × 157.22 × 2 mm
Download the file for your workflow. In a slicer, confirm the STL’s dimensions, place its flat face on the build plate, and prepare it at the size your wall display needs. In CAD, open the STP and save a working model before adjusting the wolf’s depth or combining it with your plaque backing.
