Dinosaurs were the animals that ruled our world for 150 million years. The last dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago. They lived all over the world. Dinosaur fossils have been found all over the world. Scientists attribute their extinction to a 12km-wide asteroid crashing into the earth or to massive volcanic activity.
The word dinosaur comes from Greek and means scary lizard. In fact, not all dinosaurs are scary. There are also many peaceful species of dinosaurs that feed on plants. For many reasons, it is currently impossible to bring back extinct dinosaurs. But today, dinosaurs are very popular with their depictions in books, movies, television shows, cartoons, and even theme parks. In this project, we will include these popular animals.
