This 26.6 cm (10.5 inches) high design consists of 11 2D pieces. You can obtain these parts by cutting 4 mm thick materials such as wood, mdf, plywood, acrylic, cardboard. You can create a decorative 3D xmas tree by combining the 2D pieces you get.
Although this design is for laser cutting machines, you can also prepare the project with the necessary hand tools and materials for woodworking and cardboard craft. For instance, you can cut wooden materials very precisely with a scroll saw. A utility knife and scissors will be sufficient to cut a cardboard. By printing the printable free PDF file on your printer, you can get the outline cutting template. Stick this template on the material you want to cut and cut following the lines on the template. If you are an experienced craftsman, you can paint your wood christmas tree in colors to suit your taste. If you are going to use MDF material for this project, you will need to apply 2 layers of primer paint (filler). MDF is an absorbent material and the primer you apply first will absorb the paint.
