Free snowflake STL and STEP files with four flat 3 mm snowflake models for 3D printing, ornaments, and CAD solid use.

This is the 3D download for the snowflake set: four snowflake designs supplied as flat 3D files, in two formats. The STL package holds four snowflake meshes for 3D printing, one design per file. The STEP package holds the same four snowflakes as CAD solids for CAD use, one design per file. You pick the format that matches your workflow, open the design you want, and take it from there.

Each snowflake is a flat extrusion of the 2D drawing, supplied at about 18 cm across and 3 mm thick. Check the imported scale in your slicer or CAD software before printing or modeling, especially if your software handles STL units differently. These are not sculpted or rounded snowflake models; they are the same connected 2D snowflakes lifted into a low, plate-like 3D form. That makes the file suitable for small flat printed pieces such as winter ornaments, decorative snowflakes, magnets, craft parts, or simple mold masters where a low raised snowflake shape is useful.

The four designs carry over from the 2D set: a classic six-branch snowflake, a decorative leaf-and-petal snowflake around a solid hexagon center, an open geometric snowflake around a large empty hexagon, and a fern-style snowflake with fine angled needles. Every one of them is drawn as a single connected snowflake, so the branches, spokes, and inner detail all belong to one printed or modeled piece rather than falling into loose parts.

Use the STL when you want to slice and print. Each STL is a closed mesh of a single snowflake, ready to bring into your slicer. Use the STEP when you want to work with the snowflake as a CAD solid instead of a mesh: measure it, scale it, combine it with another CAD part, or take it into CAD/CAM preparation. The two formats give you the same snowflakes in the shape each workflow expects.

Download These Free Snowflake STL and STEP 3D Files

The snowflake STL and STEP packages are free to download. Here is what is inside:

  • Four STL files, one snowflake mesh per file, in one ZIP for slicing and 3D printing
  • Four STEP files, one snowflake CAD solid per file, in one ZIP for CAD work
  • Flat extrusions of the 2D drawings, supplied at about 18 cm across and 3 mm thick
  • Single-piece snowflake designs with connected interior detail, no loose island-style parts

Download the format that matches your workflow, open a snowflake in your slicer or CAD software, and check the scale and settings before you print or model.
