Free butterfly vector images with four black silhouette graphic designs as transparent PNG clipart.

The decorative work inside these butterfly wings is bridged back to the body on purpose. In each of the four black and white butterfly vector graphics, the flowers, vein cells, dots, and leaves are tied into the surrounding black so the negative spaces stay closed or bridged, never left as loose shapes. A butterfly drawn this way reads as one connected silhouette: there are no floating island pieces waiting to drop out, which is the difference between a butterfly graphic that only looks good on screen and one that holds together when it is actually cut.

That structure is why the same artwork carries across formats instead of being tied to one use. The SVG is a scalable vector cut file for craft and vinyl work; the PNG is transparent black clipart for print and layout; the PDF is a printable butterfly template for tracing and hand cutting; the DXF and DWG are CAD drawings for cutting machines and AutoCAD; the CDR is editable CorelDRAW line art; and the STL and STEP carry the silhouette into 3D. The same connected drawing logic is preserved across the vector and CAD formats, while the PNG and PDF versions carry the same artwork for graphic and printable use.

Flower and Vine Wings

Small daisies and curling scrollwork wind from the body out to the wing tips, the busiest of the four. The flowers and vines are drawn into each other and back to the wing rather than dropped on top, which is what lets a pattern this dense stay connected. The petals are the finest detail in the set: at larger sizes the floral detail can be cut as part of the design, but at smaller laser sizes the tightest petals may work better as engraving than as through-cuts, so they keep their shape.

Monarch with Veined Wings

A classic monarch, wings divided into long vein cells with a row of small open dots along the outer edge. It is the most open and even of the four, and its wider cells and larger bridges make it the most forgiving design in the set when the artwork is reduced. When a recognizable butterfly shape matters more than dense ornament, this is the one to reach for.

Rose and Leaf Wings

Large open roses and trailing leaves fill the wings, and the lower wings break into a ragged, tailed edge instead of a smooth curve, which gives this one the strongest outline of the four. The roses carry enough internal line to read as roses rather than round blobs, and they are connected into the wing the same way the daisies are. It is the most ornamental piece in the set, suited to wall art and engraved panels where the shape itself is the design.

Free dotted butterfly silhouette design with rounded spots and open wing detail, available as PNG, SVG, and DXF image.

Dotted and Spotted Wings

Oval cells, open circles, and scalloped wing edges, with no florals at all. It sits between the plain monarch and the two floral designs: more decorative than the monarch, but the rounded shapes stay roomy, so it scales down more easily than the roses or daisies. The mix of solid spots and open holes gives the wing a lighter, airier look.

The four cover a deliberate range. The monarch and the dotted butterfly are built on wing lines and rounded shapes and stay open enough to cut at smaller sizes; the flower and rose designs hold finer interior work for projects where the detail itself is the point. Matching the density of the design to your surface and method is part of choosing which one to use.

In the SVG files the butterflies are drawn to a 25 cm width, at their own proportions rather than fitted to a cutting mat. The vector formats hold their proportions when scaled, so a butterfly can be sized up for a wall piece or down for a card front, with the connected interior staying intact. Check the scale against your method before cutting the finer floral detail.
